Hello,
Does anyone else have this problem with the character select pictures being messed up? If so, how do you fix it?
Thanks! |

it's a problem witht the video plugin you are using, try a different one, but different video plugins all have their own set of pros and cons, so try them and stay with the one you like the most. _________________ YouTube channel |

| Allright. Looks like it fixed the character select but there is an odd line down bond's face on the Main game page, as well as the muzzle flashes being a little polka-dotted. So with different plugins, you basically have to break one thing to fix another? |

Unfortunately, none of them are perfect. Some are better at performance, while some look a little prettier. But each one has some flaw that the other doesn't. If they could all just get together and figure out why one thing works for them and doesn't for the other guy, we might just end up with one heck of a graphics plugin. _________________

It is actually unavoidable. Rice's, Direct64, GL, and actually ALL of the plugs ins I have do it.
The only one I have that hasn't done it is Mudlord's; however I have edited the settings on it so it doesn't do it; but now the menus jump and shake with graphical twitches.
But at least Mudlord's render skys! _________________

So does Glide. Glide is much better than Mudlords, no jumpy stuff. _________________ Assumption is the mother of all screwups.

Glide64 has a bug tracker here where you can report any rendering oddities. I got the helicopter rotors in Statue fixed that way. Some things just aren't fixable though, either because little is known about how they work or it's impossible for a high-level plugin to emulate. _________________
